The wedding weekend begins
Rok + Nika
19. 6. – 21. 6. 2026
Villa Fabiani
Kobdilj 39 · Štanjel · Slovenia
We'll be staying right at the venue at Villa Fabiani in the heart of the Karst region. This is part of our Coastal region, but Karst is a bit special. The soil here is deep red, the terrain rocky, and the limestone landscape hides a network of caves and rivers below teh surface. The sunny, dry climate is ideal for the vineyards you’ll see all around. One of the most distinctive features of the region is the strong "bora" wind (not on our wedding day though!!!).
Welcome to the Slovenian countryside!
Check-in: Friday from 15:00
Check-out: Sunday at 11:00 the rooms must be empty. We can stay on the property for brunch till 13:00.
Rooms will be allocated by Villa's host, Blanka, one per guest, couple or family.
Meals at the Villa
Friday: dinner
Wedding day: breakfast. Lunch = Groom's culinary welcome…
Sunday: brunch (or breakfast if you need to leave early)
Arrive when you want. Drop your bag and find your people, unwind. The terrace is open and the vibes are good.
In the afternoon, let’s say around 17:00, we suggest a nice stroll to explore the surroundings. Whoever wants can join us for a short (around 15 min one way to the village) walk to Štanjel village, one of the oldest and most picturesque villages in Karst.
Back to Villa Fabiani for a lovely dinner together. Good food, good wine, great company.
We can talk, dance on the grass, and enjoy the evening and the people around us. Take it easy … tomorrow is the big day. The groom must not get drunk.
There is free parking close to the Villa, follow the signs.
If you have any food allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know.
There is a pool, so feel free to bring a swimsuit. Comfortable shoes are also a good idea for the village walk, although sandals will probably be just fine. We'll find out together.
If you are arriving by plane and don't want to rent a car, there is a shuttle service called GoOpti that can drop you off and pick you up at the Villa.
Nearest airports are:
If you decide to stay in the area for longer we recommend visiting Škocjan caves (with children it's better to visit Postojna cave!).
We're so excited to see everyone in one place!
